Hi guys! Happy Friday Eve!

Today I’m sharing everything I use to plan out EVERYTHING, literally. I love planners and anything stationary related, I’m so nerdy about that kind of stuff.

First, my planner that I am literally obsessed with is the “8×10 Blue Sky Day Designer Planner in the Spotty Dot Gold pattern. I got it off of Amazon for $25!  It has a nice plastic covering over the sheets of paper which I love because it keeps it protected. In the beginning it also has a section to set your goals and a little guide on how to effectively use the planner.

There is tabs for each month, and then a monthly view. The tabs are a teal color, as are all of the other details in the planner! But my absolute favorite part about this planner is the daily/hourly section!

So this is an example of a day in my life:

  • BLACK PEN- I write my to-do list and notes with black pen. I do this so these things don’t stand out as much as the other things I write, and it is the common color pen I’m always writing with.
  • YELLOW HIGHLIGHTER- Anything I have to do that day that I have planned or scheduled for a certain time is highlighted in yellow. Gym time, coffee date, meetings, events, etc.
  • PURPLE PEN- School work. I box my deadlines or due dates of things I have for each class, and then I will write my assignments for that day under the to do section in purple as well.
  • PINK PEN- This is a new section of my planner but its everything to do with my sorority! We have dinner hours, library hours, and meetings a lot right now because I’m in the new member stages. So all of that is in pink, as well as any deadlines or events for DZ.

That is my color coding system, and to some its crazy to color code, but I love it! It keeps it visually aesthetic, and keeps me organized!

Another detail I love about this planner is on every day page, theres a quote in the right hand corner. Its a little detail that is really cute and its fun to read an inspiring quote each day!

There is also a section in the bottom right for gratitude. Every night I make my to do list and plan for the next day. During this time I will write my gratitude for the day in that little box. This honestly has really helped me to focus more on the little things in each day that make me so grateful for my life.

Another thing I love to do is use cute notebooks like the floral one I have pictured, from Marshalls, in the cover photo. I use this for lists on lists on lists. I also love to make cover pages for my notebooks, like the one shown. I write a bunch of random things in here like to do lists, wish lists, blog ideas, etc.

I recently made this Habits Chart. I saw this idea on one of my favorite Youtubers, Kalyn Nicholson, videos. This has really helped me promote new habits into my life and its a fun way to do it! You can also track how many times you do those things, which is cool.

I hope you guys enjoyed this insight into how I plan and use my notebooks! Do you guys like to crazy plan like me or are you more of a whatever color pen/whatever random paper you can find type of person?

Have an awesome weekend!

Hi guys! It has been a long, long, time since I’ve posted. Almost a month. If I’m being honest, I was feeling so uninspired and just in a rut. I kept comparing the content I was producing to every other amazing blogger or creator that I follow. I would sit there and think “Wow look at how many followers she has! Her blog is perfect, she really has everything together like all the time, why am I not like her?” Were all human and there will always be someone doing better than you, that is just the way it is. I’m happy for all of these people I follow and support, they’re amazing and I look up to them. However, instead of aspiring to be a better me, these thoughts pushed me to not want to write at all because anything I would say or do, wouldn’t be good enough. I then realized I just started this blog. It will take time, like anything good does. I need to enjoy the journey. So what am I going to do now? Focus on bettering myself and my blog. I want to be proud of the content I’m putting out. I am so excited to continue growing my blog in this new year, because I truly love to do it. This leads me to my goals for 2018.

For Christmas this year I received the book called The 52 Lists Project. This book gives you a prompt for every week of the year, the first one being “list your goals and dreams for this upcoming year”. So thats exactly what I did.

  • Branch out! I want to step outside of my comfort zone & make new friends. Whether this means I wear something I would not usually wear, signing up for a workout class that seems difficult, meeting new people in the blogging world, or even just exploring the city.
  • Get an internship! ( or 2 ) Also focus more on school… hopefully ending my first year of college with a high GPA.
  • Create more content with local Pittsburgh creators, and just more content in general.
  • Spreading more positivity, through my actions and words. I don’t think we realize how much what we say and put out into the world affects us and everyone around us. More love.
  • Stop apologizing for feeling. A lot of the time I show my emotions then say sorry for venting or sorry for getting so emotional. We are humans, and we have feelings. I have to remind myself that it is okay to feel.
  • More self love.
  • Call/text my family members more.
  • Live in the moment. I want to enjoy every struggle and every moment of pure happiness.
  • Travel to places I’ve never been. Maybe study abroad…
  • Be more grateful for everything I am blessed to have.

I have high hopes for this new year & I can’t wait to see where it takes me. What are your goals for 2018?

I’m Thankful For…

Hi guys!!! Happy Sunday! How are you? This morning I went to brunch at First Watch, delicious as always. After that I’ve just been working on school work and getting ready for this busy week. Thats what Sundays are for right??? Anyways, today I wanted to talk about some of the things I’m thankful for always, but especially during this time of the year. Thanksgiving is coming up and I can’t waiiiiit. So many people disregard Thanksgiving and go straight to Christmas, like hellooo! Delicious food, family, fall, alll in one holiday. Yes. That is what I’m here for.  SO lets get into it…

  • FAMILY. Since going away to college I’ve realized how much I actually miss out on, not just being right at home. (even though I’m 15 mins away lol) Little things like family dinners, running to get coffee with my mom, or even  just hanging around the house become bigger things when you’re not there 24/7. You realize how much you take things like that for granted.
  • FRIENDS. Leaving high school means all of your friends go to different schools and you’re all split up. Well, not the case for me. I’m lucky to have most (not all) of my closest friends with me for this crazy college journey + even more new friends I’ve met along the way. They keep me sane honestly. Shoutout to my besties, you know who you are. Thanks for dealing with my craziness. 😉
  • TRENT. S/o Trent ily bae. You’re the best. Grateful for all you do everyday to keep me happy.
  • FURRY FRIENDS. Yes, my pup and my 2 kitties. I miss them literally everyday and I cannot wait to be with them for Thanksgiving break. They always make me feel better.
  • SCHOOL. I’m blessed with the opportunity to go to school at such an amazing campus with so many inspiring students and professors around me. Also the ability to study what I love, despite all the homework and papers. But it will all be worth it someday, right??
  • COFFEE. Gets me through each and everyday, one true love.
  • AVOCADOS. Can eat them so many different ways, so many different options. Just amazing, 10/10.
  • MY BODY. Thankful to wake up every morning in a healthy and strong body. I work on self love and appreciation everyday.
  • THE BLOG. I am so incredibly happy I started this blog. I love writing and expressing myself on this platform.
  • MY BED. This is an obvious one. Always snoozin.
  • LAUGHTER. With my friends, by myself, at myself, at my dog, at my dad or mom, at my brothers… the list goes on. Laughter keeps us sane.
  • MY PAST. Good or bad moments, they made me who I am today.
  • MUSIC. For spontaneous dance parties, duh.
  • NIGHTS & MORNINGS. The ability to start over day after day.

& the list goes on and on. Ive been thinking recently about starting a gratitude journal. To write down one thing from each day that you’re grateful for, even if its something little. The point is to focus on the good in life, instead of the bad. I’ll keep you updated on that. I hope you guys enjoyed this! Hopefully it makes you think about everything awesome in your life, and to not take anything for granted. Life is so good! Have an amazing week. Don’t forget to subscribe!
