Hey guys & Happy Wednesday! Today I’m back with another Was it Worth it Wednesday post!

I’ve been looking at old pictures and I’ve been missing my long hair so much. I feel like my short hair suits me, but long hair is so fun, especially for summer! I did some research on hair masks, supplements for hair, how to make your hair grow, etc.  I found this DIY coconut oil hair mask, and it seemed like the easiest thing I could do right at that moment, and thats exactly what I was looking for.

Do you guys like long hair or short hair better? Let me know!

I used the organic coconut oil from Amazon, that I use to remove my makeup every night. I sectioned my hair off into about four sections and covered my hair, focusing more on the ends, but also spreading it all the way to the roots. I then wrapped it up into a bun and left it in for about 30 minutes.

I read online to put your shampoo in before you wet your hair so the shampoo could really get the oil out. So thats what I did. I noticed as soon as I got my hair wet to wash out the shampoo my hair felt like straw. It was so knotty and it felt more dry than it did before the mask!! I was so confused on to why this happened, because there were so many good reviews on this mask. So I washed it all out then I used my conditioner, but I conditioned twice, because I couldn’t stand the feeling of my hair!

The next day, I noticed my hair being oily at the roots, which I kind of expected. But there was no difference in the freshness of my ends, and my hair didn’t feel more moisturized at all!

This mask isn’t hard to do, and I don’t think I messed anything up. Have you guys ever done this mask? Has it worked for you? Did I do something wrong? Let me know!

Overall Rating: 3/10

As of now, I think I will stick with putting my Moroccan oil in my hair after I shower! Let me know what you guys think of this mask if you’ve tried it before!

Hi guys! Happy Friday Eve!

Today I’m sharing everything I use to plan out EVERYTHING, literally. I love planners and anything stationary related, I’m so nerdy about that kind of stuff.

First, my planner that I am literally obsessed with is the “8×10 Blue Sky Day Designer Planner in the Spotty Dot Gold pattern. I got it off of Amazon for $25!  It has a nice plastic covering over the sheets of paper which I love because it keeps it protected. In the beginning it also has a section to set your goals and a little guide on how to effectively use the planner.

There is tabs for each month, and then a monthly view. The tabs are a teal color, as are all of the other details in the planner! But my absolute favorite part about this planner is the daily/hourly section!

So this is an example of a day in my life:

  • BLACK PEN- I write my to-do list and notes with black pen. I do this so these things don’t stand out as much as the other things I write, and it is the common color pen I’m always writing with.
  • YELLOW HIGHLIGHTER- Anything I have to do that day that I have planned or scheduled for a certain time is highlighted in yellow. Gym time, coffee date, meetings, events, etc.
  • PURPLE PEN- School work. I box my deadlines or due dates of things I have for each class, and then I will write my assignments for that day under the to do section in purple as well.
  • PINK PEN- This is a new section of my planner but its everything to do with my sorority! We have dinner hours, library hours, and meetings a lot right now because I’m in the new member stages. So all of that is in pink, as well as any deadlines or events for DZ.

That is my color coding system, and to some its crazy to color code, but I love it! It keeps it visually aesthetic, and keeps me organized!

Another detail I love about this planner is on every day page, theres a quote in the right hand corner. Its a little detail that is really cute and its fun to read an inspiring quote each day!

There is also a section in the bottom right for gratitude. Every night I make my to do list and plan for the next day. During this time I will write my gratitude for the day in that little box. This honestly has really helped me to focus more on the little things in each day that make me so grateful for my life.

Another thing I love to do is use cute notebooks like the floral one I have pictured, from Marshalls, in the cover photo. I use this for lists on lists on lists. I also love to make cover pages for my notebooks, like the one shown. I write a bunch of random things in here like to do lists, wish lists, blog ideas, etc.

I recently made this Habits Chart. I saw this idea on one of my favorite Youtubers, Kalyn Nicholson, videos. This has really helped me promote new habits into my life and its a fun way to do it! You can also track how many times you do those things, which is cool.

I hope you guys enjoyed this insight into how I plan and use my notebooks! Do you guys like to crazy plan like me or are you more of a whatever color pen/whatever random paper you can find type of person?

Have an awesome weekend!

College Outfit of the Week

College Outfit of the Week

Hi loves! This week, I wanted to share with you what I wear on an average (pretty rainy) full week of class. Ranging from cute to complete bum… & everything in between! It gets hard throughout the winter months to dress up for class instead of just throwing on a hoodie and leggings. But, for some reason I always feel more productive if I get up and make myself look presentable, anyone else?? I hope this gives you some inspiration, if you’ve been feeling stuck with your style lately!

Today I went for a more edgy and laid back look. It was so rainy, but like 50 degrees, so I didn’t want to wear my big winter coat.

I wore these black ripped jeans from Hollister, that I’ve literally had forever. I paired them with a graphic tee from Forever21, and this black with gold detailing bomber jacket from Express! I then wore my favorite boots, Doc Martens! They’re the perfect shoes for a rainy day.

For jewelry, I wore thin gold hoops and gold studs from Forever21. They went well with the gold detailing on the jacket. And then I wore my Calvin Klein watch, and my Pandora crown ring. Lastly, I wore my “happy” gold bar necklace from FabFitFun!

Today I had to dress business casual, because I had chapter later that night for Delta Zeta!

I wore these black, cropped dress pants from Marshalls! They were only $12! I then paired it with this black and white striped peplum from Marshalls too. Only $8! For shoes, I am wearing my Franco Sarto black leather loafers. From (guess where?) Marshalls!

For jewelry, I am wearing this necklace from Sabika jewelry that I received at a Pittsburgh blog babe meet up! I’m also wearing these chunky diamonds from Charming Charlie’s!

So today I was super bummy and comfy! I had an event later for my sorority called Big Man on Campus and we got shirts for it, so that is what I’m wearing here!

My leggings are from Marshalls, they’re the brand Yogalicious. I then wore my pink and grey Nikes, and they’re from Marshalls too! Guys I mean it when I say I literally get everything from there!

For jewelry I didn’t wear much, just my Pandora ring and the same diamond studs I showed earlier!

Today I was casual, but still cute! I wore gym clothes to my first class, then changed and actually got ready for my second class and for the rest of the day!

I wore this super soft, chenille, gray and white striped sweater from American Eagle. I love this sweater because its oversized but still stylish. It also has almost a bell sleeve (is that what you call it?) that is so cute! I then paired it with these ripped and distressed jeans from American Eagle as well. And then I’m wearing these awesome shoes from Steve Madden. They are so comfortable, but also super cute and not your average sneaker.

For jewelry, I kept it really simple again with my Pandora ring, “happy” gold bar necklace from FabFitFun, and studs!

By this time of the week it was so rainy and dreary outside. I decided to still dress up because when ya look good, ya feel good!

I wore this light blue, cold shoulder, slouchy sweater from Pacsun. I wore a black, haltered bralette from Victorias Secret under it. I then wore my black ripped jeans from Hollister. And then of course I wore my Doc Martens, classic.

For jewelry I wore my Sabika necklace again and the blue studs from Charming Charlie’s!

& thats a wrap! I like to be comfortable but still cute and put together for class. I also realized that I literally buy everything from Marshalls, but I’m totally okay with it.

I’m also so ready for Spring & Summer clothes. I do love sweaters and being cozy while its rainy, but I want dresses and the sun beating down on me so bad! Anyone else??

I hope you all have a great week! As always, thank you for reading!!

Hi babes! How have you been? Todays post is so fun! I am going to show you two Valentine’s Day inspired outfit ideas, featuring my beautiful JORD Cassia wooden watch. I loved picking outfits for this post because light pink is one of my favorite colors… and Valentine’s Day is just the time to wear pink!

Okay so, I wasn’t a big fan of jumpsuits, until NOW. I went out last week to Marshalls, not looking for anything, but of course leaving with everything. Marshalls has the greatest deals, I can never resist! This vertical stripe and floral jumpsuit was only $20. A STEAL! It has a cut out right under the tie, a low V neck, and frilly short sleeves. It’s a perfect mix of flirty and fun for Valentines Day. I paired this jumpsuit with these chunky blush pink heels to compliment the pink in the floral pattern.

The Cassia watch matches this aesthetic flawlessly! It has walnut colored wood with rose accents. The walnut wood is a mix of pale brown and dark chocolate brown. The mixed hues gives the watch dimension and a look of texture. The rose accents along the band, as well as on the face of the watch, go perfectly with the florals on the jumpsuit. I have been so into rose gold and gold jewelry recently, so this fits into my collection so well.

Not everyone goes out on Valentines Day, so I wanted to add something more casual but still festive and cute! I bought this sweater around the holidays, from Marshalls (who would’ve guessed that one?) and I’m still not over it! The pink chenille is perfect for Valentines Day, and the bows add a girly flare. It’s so warm too!! I paired the sweater with these gray washed jeans from Hollister, but these could be swapped out for some black leggings too. This sweater would also look really cute with ripped jeans or even a skirt! I then chose my Doc Martens because the shiny sheen adds a little something extra to the outfit. Also because they’re my favorite boots ever… and I literally wear them with everything. Again, the rose color on the face of the watch goes so well with the pink sweater. I also love how the numbers on the watch are Roman numerals, rather than a traditional number dial. It adds a more sophisticated and chic look. And… now just realizing the watch matches my glasses too… WOW I love it.

Also! You can get your watch or watch box engraved. How awesome is that? I love anything with my initials. I feel like it makes the item more personal and special. This would be a perfect gift for anyone in your life. Not only is it an amazing gift, but you can add something extra. Making your gift the most thoughtful gift ever.

What are your plans for Valentines Day?? Whether you’re going out or staying in, I hope your day is filled with love from everyone in your life, even if you don’t have a significant other. Wooden Wrist Watch

Hi guys! I wanted to start a new series on the blog called “Is it Worth it Wednesday”!  Basically, I will try out new products and give you guys a review on them. I think it will be a great way for me to try out new products and also let you guys know whether or not they’re worth your money. Today I wanted to talk about the Lush Cup O’ Coffee Face and Body Mask. I got this as a gift for Christmas, and I’ve been trying it out ever since. Its basically an exfoliating mask made up of ingredients such as… ground coffee and caffeine powder.

Coffee wakes us up and keeps us going every morning and it does the same for your skin! The ground coffee acts as an exfoliant. It will remove all of the dead skin cells that are left on your face or body. Leaving your face/body feeling super smooth, and looking radiant and bright. It can also calm inflamed or red skin, which sounds weird because coffee is associated with energy and waking up, but the antioxidants in the coffee aide the redness.

This mask has a thick consistency and is easy to spread on your face. Some masks burn my skin but this one doesn’t! I leave it on for 10-15 minutes, then I rinse with warm water and rub it all over to make sure I get a good scrub. It leaves my skin feeling so nice and smooth.

The only down side about this mask, in my opinion, is the strong smell. It has a coffee smell mixed with a musky sort of scent. I’m so bad at explaining scents… can you tell?? Although I can tolerate the smell, if you don’t like strong scents (especially on your face), I wouldn’t recommend this!

Despite the smell, this face mask is definitely worth it! The 5.2oz container retails for $11.95. I will definitely be repurchasing this product! It works for my skin and is affordable at the same time. Click here to read more about the many benefits of coffee.
