Hey guys! Today I’m showing you all my affordable skincare routine. This routine has worked wonders for me for a while so I wanted to share it with you all! I’ve done my research on skincare. Expensive products can have the same ingredients as a product from the drugstore, just for more than half of the price. I have normal/sensitive skin that gets dry in the winter. I’ve never had terrible acne, but I do suffer from those annoying breakouts from time to time! I’ve been using these products for a good amount of time and this routine has been working for my skin!

The first product I want to share with you all is coconut oil. Coconut oil has SO many uses and you can get it anywhere. I use it to moisturize my body, as a hair oil, and most importantly makeup remover! I used to be an avid user of the Neutrogena makeup wipes in the blue package (weren’t we all?). Until I realized they weren’t getting my makeup off all the way, you had to tug at your eyes to get all of the eye makeup off and sometimes it even burned my under eyes. I was so over using those makeup wipes so I decided to try coconut oil, and it is life changing! All you do it put a glob of it on your hand and rub it in your hands until it melts (takes like 5 seconds if your hand are warm), and rub on your face. This way is definitely more time consuming, but worth it. It melts off all of my eye makeup without hassle, and it also moisturizes at the same time. After all the makeup is melted you can use your hands or wet washcloth to wipe it all off, then continue to your cleanser. The cleanser I’ve been loving recently is Purity by PhilosophyAlthough, it is on the pricier side, I do love it! A dupe or similiar formula to this cleanser is Cetaphil. This cleanser gets rid of all of the extra coconut oil from my face, leftover makeup, and leaves your skin feeling clean. I love that I can use this all over my face, even my eye area, and it doesn’t burn. It is very gentle and gets the job done!

The next product I use is this apricot scrub from the Target brand Up & Up . I used to use the St. Ives version of this face scrub, until I realized the Target brand was so much cheaper and worked the same! I use this scrub 4-5 times a week to keep my skin fresh and smooth. It works as a great exfoliator. It’s not too harsh, it has just the right amount of texture to get all of the dead skin off. This next product I have just been trying out recently, Dr. Brandt Pore Dermabrasion scrub. It is a very fine scrub and you can only use this 2-3 times a week. I got this as a sample in my Ipsy bag. I have been really enjoying this product! I don’t know if I would go and purchase the full size because I do love my apricot scrub just as much. This is a great exfoliant if you have enlarged pores or oily skin. It does make your face feel very smooth and nice after. I don’t have a problem with large pores so I don’t think I would pay for a full size of this, but if you have that issue definitely check it out!

The next product is my favorite part of my skincare routine, moisturizer. I use the Neutrogena Oil Free Sensitive Skin Moisturizer. I love this stuff! I do have sensitive skin so this product works really well for me. It sinks into your skin really nicely so you’re not left with any oily residue afterwards that will clog your pores. It also doesn’t have any fragrance which I love. The next product I use is the Nourish Organic Renewing Avocado & Argan Eye Cream. I received this product in my Ipsy bag as well and I love it! It has lasted me forever because you only need a little bit for the under eye area. This product sinks into the skin nicely as well. I apply this at night before bed and I wake up to hydrated under eyes. Eye cream is good to use to keep that area moisturized. It has reduced the lines under my eyes, making mu concealer look so much better! I definitely recommend this eye cream.

These next two products I use 1-2 times a week, or whenever I need it! The first product I have is the Clean & Clear Persa Gel Acne Spot Treatment. I use this whenever I’m having breakouts. I will wash my face and apply moisturizer, then apply this on the area around and directly on the blemish. I wake up and the blemish will be dried out and basically gone! It works very well. Although, you do have to be careful when applying, you don’t want to use this all over your face, it is meant for a spot treatment. The last product I’m going to talk about is the Formula 10.0.6 Be Pure Mud Mask. I use this mask when I have a relaxing night or whenever I feel like my skin needs refreshed. I will apply this concentrated on my T zone and then lighter on my cheeks. This mask does tingle slightly, but it is definitely bearable. I keep it on for around 10-15 minutes then wash it off with warm water. It leaves my skin feeling smooth and clean.

& that’s about it! It seems like a lot of steps but skincare is important. I love all of these products and would recommend all of them! Another big step in skincare is drinking enough water. I always have water with me, its necessary to stay hydrated! I hope you guys enjoyed this post. Don’t forget to subscribe!! Have a great week!

Hi babes! I’m finally home for Thanksgiving break and I could not be happier. I’ve had such a relaxing weekend with my family. I’m looking forward to this week off, even though I have so much to do. Today I wanted to share some of my possible outfit options for Thanksgiving this year!

Top-  Forever21

Bralette- Francesca’s

Jeans- American Eagle

Mules- Franco Sarto, from Marshalls

Purse- Charming Charlie’s

This outfit is perfect if you want to be comfy but still cute. The sweater has an open back to show the bralette perfectly. Plus this sweater is super comfy and oversized which means you can have a food baby and no one will know! These jeans are a basic dark blue denim. They are high waisted and super comfortable. Now to my favorite part of the outfit, the shoes! I just bought these mules on SALE at Marshall’s for $20! Such a steal. I always find gems there. Lastly, my bag is from Charming Charlie’s.  It reminds me of a crazy expensive Givenchy bag, but for like $50 bucks. For this outfit I would probably wear my everyday gold jewelry, blog post on that coming soon! Overall the color combo of this outfit just screams Thanksgiving to me.

Top- Forever21

Jeans- American Eagle

Booties: Carlos Santana, from Macy’s

Purse: Target

This outfit is a little more dressy with the blouse and higher heeled booties. The criss cross detail with the gold ties is so cute and fun. As well as the sleeves, they are tight on your wrist then flare out, adding a nice touch! This floral pattern also just screams fall to me. I paired this top with my American Eagle jeans also. With these suede booties I like to cuff my jeans at the bottoms, I think it looks really cute like that. This bag was on clearance at Target a couple months ago and I love it! It just a basic, taupe, cross body, bag. It’s one big pocket and very unstructured, but looks so effortless and can hold so much. It pairs well with the fun patterned top. With this outfit I would probably wear my everyday gold jewelry as well.

Top- Buffalo Exchange

Jeans- American Eagle

Loafers- Franco Sarto, from Marshalls

Purse- Kate Spade

Choker- Forever21

This is probably my favorite outfit in this post. I love this top, I think its so fun but also comfortable. I literally can’t seem to stray away from wearing black, anyone else?? I just recently got these black jeans because my other ones have ripped knees, so I needed a more sophisticated and basic black pant. I actually got them on sale from American Eagle as well! This is also probably my favorite cross body bag I own. It’s the perfect size and it goes with everything. Kate Spade makes some of my favorite bags ever. I’ve been loving gold jewelry recently, rather than silver. So I would also probably add a dainty gold necklace to layer with the black tie choker. And then we have the amazing black mules making an appearance once again.

Sweater Dress- Forever21

Boots- Target

Necklace- Forever21

Purse- Sam Edelman, from Squan Dry Goods

This sweater dress is the COMFIEST dress ever. I literally would wear this everyday if I could. It feels like you’re wearing a blanket, but you look super cute! This might be my second fav outfit. These boots I got last fall at Target and they’re still in great shape, and I wear them all the time. Thigh high boots make your legs look so slim, and they’re flattering on anyone! You could also even pair some black tights under this and wear the thigh highs or even shorter booties. The necklace I paired with this outfit I’ve had forever. I love it because it has both silver and a gold color, so you can mix your metals. Any statement necklace or even the tie choker from above would look awesome with this. The bag is the same one I showed you guys in my thrifting post and I’m still loving it!

I hope you guys liked this post! I love creating outfit ideas and taking pictures of flatlays. Which outfit would you wear?? I’ll keep you updated over on Instagram on which outfit I wear on Thanksgiving! I hope you all have an awesome week and holiday! I’ll be catching up on my reality tv, eating lots of yummy food, and spending time with family and friends. Thank you for reading! Don’t forget to subscribe and comment which outfit you would choose!

I’m Thankful For…

I’m Thankful For…

Hi guys!!! Happy Sunday! How are you? This morning I went to brunch at First Watch, delicious as always. After that I’ve just been working on school work and getting ready for this busy week. Thats what Sundays are for right??? Anyways, today I wanted to talk about some of the things I’m thankful for always, but especially during this time of the year. Thanksgiving is coming up and I can’t waiiiiit. So many people disregard Thanksgiving and go straight to Christmas, like hellooo! Delicious food, family, fall, alll in one holiday. Yes. That is what I’m here for.  SO lets get into it…

  • FAMILY. Since going away to college I’ve realized how much I actually miss out on, not just being right at home. (even though I’m 15 mins away lol) Little things like family dinners, running to get coffee with my mom, or even  just hanging around the house become bigger things when you’re not there 24/7. You realize how much you take things like that for granted.
  • FRIENDS. Leaving high school means all of your friends go to different schools and you’re all split up. Well, not the case for me. I’m lucky to have most (not all) of my closest friends with me for this crazy college journey + even more new friends I’ve met along the way. They keep me sane honestly. Shoutout to my besties, you know who you are. Thanks for dealing with my craziness. 😉
  • TRENT. S/o Trent ily bae. You’re the best. Grateful for all you do everyday to keep me happy.
  • FURRY FRIENDS. Yes, my pup and my 2 kitties. I miss them literally everyday and I cannot wait to be with them for Thanksgiving break. They always make me feel better.
  • SCHOOL. I’m blessed with the opportunity to go to school at such an amazing campus with so many inspiring students and professors around me. Also the ability to study what I love, despite all the homework and papers. But it will all be worth it someday, right??
  • COFFEE. Gets me through each and everyday, one true love.
  • AVOCADOS. Can eat them so many different ways, so many different options. Just amazing, 10/10.
  • MY BODY. Thankful to wake up every morning in a healthy and strong body. I work on self love and appreciation everyday.
  • THE BLOG. I am so incredibly happy I started this blog. I love writing and expressing myself on this platform.
  • MY BED. This is an obvious one. Always snoozin.
  • LAUGHTER. With my friends, by myself, at myself, at my dog, at my dad or mom, at my brothers… the list goes on. Laughter keeps us sane.
  • MY PAST. Good or bad moments, they made me who I am today.
  • MUSIC. For spontaneous dance parties, duh.
  • NIGHTS & MORNINGS. The ability to start over day after day.

& the list goes on and on. Ive been thinking recently about starting a gratitude journal. To write down one thing from each day that you’re grateful for, even if its something little. The point is to focus on the good in life, instead of the bad. I’ll keep you updated on that. I hope you guys enjoyed this! Hopefully it makes you think about everything awesome in your life, and to not take anything for granted. Life is so good! Have an amazing week. Don’t forget to subscribe!

Everyday Makeup Routine!

Everyday Makeup Routine!

Happy Sunday guys! How are you? I recently have been working on the layout and theme of the blog, which is why I have been gone for a couple weeks. I had to switch platforms and all of that fun stuff! But I’m back. I hope you guys like the new set up, I worked really hard on it and I think it looks so much better! Anyways, today I wanted to share with you my everyday makeup routine. Although, I use these products everyday, I just realized how badly I need to restock on my favorites asap. These are the products I’ve been using for a long time and work best for me! From the products to the brushes I use, I’m sharing it all. I hope you guys enjoy it!

Step 1: Foundation

I use Revlon Colorstay in the shade Buff. I apply it using a Beauty Blender or this double ended Lorac foundation brush. It is really good for combo skin. It keeps me matte all day without drying me out. It also lasts forever, I can sleep with it on (when I’m lazy, thats so bad I know!) and I wake up and it still looks good. It retails for around $10. I don’t like spending a ton of money on foundations because I use them up so quickly. This one is affordable and works great for everyday use.

Step 2: Concealer

I use Maybelline Fit Me concealer in the shade 15 Fair Clair. It retails for around $5. I use this under my eyes, on my chin, forehead, and bridge of my nose. I have fairly clear skin so whenever I need it I will also use this on blemishes. I find this is the most full coverage concealer from the drugstore. It doesn’t crease, its the perfect formula.

Step 3: Powder

I used to use this powder all the time. I stopped once I bought the Laura Mercier translucent loose powder, which I used to bake. But then I ran out of that and didn’t want to spend that kind of money again on a powder. #poorcollegegirlprobs Sooo, I’m back to the Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder in translucent. I use this all over my face with a fluffy brush, and then I press it under my eyes with my beauty blender as well. This gives me a flawless finish without looking cakey, and it retails for literally $3.

Step 4: Bronzer & Blush

For an all over color on my face I use Benefit’s Hoola Bronzer in the darker shade. It is around $30, but definitely worth it. It lasts forever and is the perfect ashy tone. Then for  blush I use a mixture of the two shades in this Pacifica palette. I have a lot of blush shades but these have been my current favorites for the fall time. This compact is around $10.

Step 5: Highlighter

Highlighting is my favorite part of my makeup routine. My all time favorite highlighter is Becca Cosmetics Highlighter in Champagne Pop. It is very pricey, retailing at $38. It has lasted me forever, using it everyday, and still have not hit pan. The color is so beautiful on the skin, giving a healthy glow.

Step 6: Brows

Now, for brow product I’m not really picky. I’ve recently been using this duo brow powder by INSPR in the color dark brown. I received it in my Ipsy months bag. I like the powder because it makes them look defined, but still natural. This retails for $12.

Step 7: Eyes

Most days I just curl my lashes and throw on some mascara. I use Covergirl Clump Crusher in the waterproof version. I always buy waterproof because it keeps the curl so much better. Some days I will add a highlight shadow to the inner corner, or just apply a taupe shade all over.

The right picture are the brushes I use for my face.

1: Face powder

2: Bronzer

3: Blush

4: Highlighter

& thats my everyday makeup routine. It takes me about 15-20 minutes each morning. I hope you guys enjoyed this! I’m thinking of doing a blog post every Sunday from here on out. So get excited for new content! Thank you for reading, and subscribe!
