Thrifting… thrifting… & more thrifting.

Hey guys! Thrifting. Some hate it, some love it. It all depends on if you know how to look. A few weeks ago for Labor Day weekend I went to Sea Girt, NJ which is very close to a cute town called Manasquan. They had a strip filled with cute little stores, coffee places, and cafes. Luckily, my Aunt Paula is a local around there. She told me I had to go to this resale shop called Squan Dry Goods. They had brands like Free People, Buckle, Urban, and even high end brands like Gucci and Kate Spade. I found some awesome pieces I just had to share with you all…

The first thing I found was this almost overall style dress. It has straps with metal clips at the top, they also criss cross in the back. I bought this to pair with a striped tee shirt, or even a plain white tee. I liked this because I also could pair it with a long sleeve crop top, some tights, and booties for the fall.

Another piece I bought was just a red and black checkered flannel. I found this is theProcessed with VSCO with c1 preset men’s section, so its perfectly roomy and oversized. I really think this is a staple piece
especially for the fall/winter time. It is the brand Dickies so it is super thick and warm, great for layering or wearing alone.

The next piece I got it is a silver bangle bracelet it almost looks like a mantra band, if you guys are familiar with those. Mine says BREATHE, which is something I think we all need Processed with VSCO with c1 presetto do a little more. Simple and cute pieces like this are good for layering with other bracelets or even a watch.

The last piece and probably my favorite piece is this Sam Edelman cross body bag. Literally in LOVE with it. It is a mix of suede and leather with some fringe and zippers. Oh, and its black. What else could you want in a bag?

And I know what you all are thinking, that seems great and all, but New Jersey??? I’ll never be able to go there. Luckily, this past weekend I ventured into this place called Buffalo Exchange on Carson Street in Southside. They had the nicest staff and the coolest atmosphere. It is also a resale shop that carries a range of brands. I picked up a few things from here as well.

I got this long sleeve almost forest green colored shirt. It has the detail of the ruffle sleeves. It also has an opening with a button on the back neckline. The color is perfect for the fall season. You could dress this up with black jeans, a necklace, and some heels… Or you could dress it down with some dark washed jeans and riding boots.

I also got this tee shirt from J. Crew. It has this textured paisley pattern that is on both the front and back of the shirt. I think this shirt will be great to layer with a leather or jean jacket in the fall time. I LOVE the intricate detailing.

Lastly, I got this sort of bohemian ring. I love wearing rings like these, they just add a little more to an outfit. They’re great if you have a couple to wear, they also look cute with the breathe bracelet I got from Squan Dry Goods.

I think thrifting is a great way to find unique pieces from brands you love for great prices. Especially being in college finding good deals is necessary. Finding those few awesome pieces is what makes all the searching worth it. I hope you guys enjoyed this post, and maybe it will inspire you to go to your local thrift shop.
